LASER S.S. OWNERSHIP TAGS
Untitled from GPI-RSC on Vimeo.
Product Description
Today's pipelines rules and regulations require instant identification of ownership and responsibility, a serious concern for all pipeline operating companies. As new identification rules are implemented, all pipelines are subjected to constant monitoring by both federal and local enforcement agencies for compliance.
Over the years, various types of tags have been used to try and identify piping ownership. All must contain specific company ownership/user information. Some ID tags are attached to flanges by use of a wire or plastic ties, which can tear off over time. Other types of tags include: information embossed into plastic card sheets, information engraved into metal tags and attached to the pipe itself and even cardboard stock which deterioates very quickly. Tags placed into the field conditions are subject to constantly changing weather conditions. The results are tag deterioation by rust, lettering filled with debris, torn ID tags or totally illegible ID tags covered with paint when the site is repainted. When this happens, violations of pipeline identification laws could occur.
